Manchester Futsal Club Welcomes Jan Meiwald to Youth Coaching Team: A Specialist Addition to Our Pre-Academy Programme

Manchester Futsal Club is delighted to announce an exciting new addition to our youth academy coaching staff. Jan Meiwald, a first-team player and highly experienced futsal coach, will be joining our team to work with the club's younger pre-academy age groups, focusing on U6's to U8's This marks a significant step forward in the development of our youngest players, as Jan brings both expertise and passion to help shape the future stars of futsal.


Jan comes to Manchester Futsal Club with a wealth of experience, having previously played for Loughborough University’s futsal team, one of the leading futsal programmes in the country. Beyond his playing career, Jan is an accomplished coach who owns a successful coaching business in Loughborough, where he works with players as young as U4's up to U12's. His ability to connect with and develop young players is well-known, and his expertise will now be put to great use at Manchester Futsal Club Youth Academy.



As a specialist coach, Jan will play a pivotal role in providing focused, individualised coaching to the club’s youngest players, ensuring that each player receives the attention they need to develop their skills in line with the club’s philosophy.


His appointment represents the club’s continued commitment to fostering talent from the earliest stages, setting the foundation for long-term success both on and off the court.

Raducio King, Academy Head of Coaching, shared his excitement about Jan joining the team:

His appointment strengthens the connection between the club’s first team and youth academy ensuring that the values and skills taught at the top level filter down to the youngest players.
