Manchester Futsal Club continues to share its knowledge and passion for futsal across the globe. Most recently, Head Coach Sam Richardson travelled to Abu Dhabi and Dubai to deliver a three-day Coach Education Programme in collaboration with PASS Abu Dhabi — one of the region’s leading youth football organisations.

With a short break in the National Futsal Series fixtures, the timing was perfect for MFC to continue its international outreach efforts. Over the course of the visit, Richardson worked with approximately 75 coaches and teachers, delivering over 14 hours of intensive futsal education rooted in Manchester Futsal Club’s philosophy and methodology.
A Three-Day Futsal Education Tour
The programme was split across three impactful days:
Thursday & Saturday in Abu Dhabi Coaches and teachers from local clubs and international schools gathered for detailed sessions exploring the core fundamentals of futsal. Richardson focused on how to effectively introduce and integrate futsal into youth development programmes, showcasing the technical and tactical demands of the game in a way that complemented existing football structures.
Friday in Dubai The spotlight moved to Dubai English Speaking School (DESS), where Richardson worked with a group of forward-thinking PE staff eager to embed futsal into their curriculum. This session highlighted how futsal can enrich the sporting experience within international schools and unlock new layers of skill development for young players.

PASS: A Shared Vision for Development
This initiative was delivered in collaboration with PASS, an organisation that shares MFC’s vision of developing young players through structured, positive experiences. Led by Founder and CEO Seth Amoafo, PASS has been championing futsal in the UAE as part of its wider mission to create the best youth pathways for aspiring players.
“Seth is doing some fantastic work in the region,” said Sam Richardson. “So when he reached out with his ideas to mobilise futsal, we knew we could help. It’s really positive to see futsal being given a platform for growth with young players and want to ensure it continues."
The sessions were designed to not only educate, but also inspire. Coaches left with a deeper understanding of how futsal can develop technically proficient, creative, and intelligent players — qualities that are at the heart of MFC’s approach.
“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sam and Manchester Futsal again,” said Seth Amoafo. “Sam's knowledge of the game is second to none and his delivery perfectly suited the participants. The most pleasing aspect of the experience was witnessing Sam's passion for futsal. This shone through all weekend and was the main reason everyone was so engaged.”
