Manchester Futsal Club Youth Academy is thrilled to announce the start of the 2024-25 season. This season promises to be one of the most exciting yet, especially following our recent experience in the Uefa Futsal Champions League.
Welcome from the Academy Director
Ilya Ovechkin, Co-founder and Academy Director, extends a warm welcome to all players and families. “We’re excited to see everyone back, especially those who have been with us for a while. Our Champions League experience has undoubtedly elevated the level that we require our players to reach, and we are focused on developing future Champions League players within our Academy. This season, we are taking our individualised approach to new heights to ensure each player reaches their full potential.”

A Season of Individual Development
Head of Coaching, Raducio King, is eager to see the players back in action and is committed to providing a personalised technical program for each player. “Our goal is to make sure every player, from U8s to U16s, benefits from an individualised training approach,” King explains. “With the guidance of our experienced coaching staff and the involvement of first-team players like Uriel, Raphe, Uni and Jake - who bring invaluable Champions League experience"
King emphasises the importance of understanding that every player’s journey is unique. “It’s crucial that both players and parents recognise that development paths differ for each individual. Our coaching staff is dedicated to ensuring that every player gets the most out of the program, tailored to their specific needs and goals.”
Building on Champions League Success
The recent success of Manchester Futsal Club First Team in the Uefa Futsal Champions League has not only lifted the first team but has also had a significant impact on the Academy.
Ovechkin believes this experience has set a new benchmark for the club. “After our taste of Champions League competition, we’ve seen the standards rise across the board. This season, we’re committed to harnessing that momentum to further develop our Academy players. Our focus is on cultivating the next generation of Champions League players right here at Manchester Futsal Club.”
